Claydon Reeves’ Awesome Aeroboat

The Aeroboat is a magnificent speedboat, a miniature yacht, and a creature of extreme speed and luxury, designed by Claydon Reeves of the UK.

Inspired by the Spitfire, the World War II fighter plane, this boat runs on an original Rolls Royce Merlin engine. With the help of its powerful engine, the Aeroboat can cruise at speeds of over 50 knots.

Swimming in British history and design, the yacht is not only designed in the UK, but is constructed of carbon fire and lightweight veneer materials sourced from Britain as well. In its final stages of production, the yacht is then built in a British yard on the Solent.

Inside the Aeroboat, the sleek interiors resemble that of a classic sports car design. Interior details include stunning leather stitching and a wooden dashboard. The ship’s forward seats are all equipped with a shock mounted design, in line with the Spitfire’s landing gear. Completing the impressive helmsman, the boat mechanisms include analogue gauges for basic functions, touch screen navigational systems, and a joystick throttle.

On board, the ship fits a total of 7 guests, and priced at £2m – £3m, the Aeroboat makes a fine entry level yacht. Housed in the deck below lies a forward cabin with a double berth and a small bathroom.

The designers of Claydon Reeves have alluded to the production of only 10 units, with each yacht customized to the owner’s wishes. Co-founder of Claydon Reeves and Aeroboat designer, Mike Reeves, has said, “We are determined to revolutionize yacht design. The Aeroboat is based on innovative, modern materials, fresh design thinking and growing demand for eye-catching shapes and individuality on the water.”
