John F Kennedy´s favorite drink was discovered in the vicinity of Santiago de Cubas beach, “Daiquiri”. An American engineer who worked in nearby mines accidentally invented the magnificent cocktail.
What appears to be a cocktail more, (lemon, rum and sugar) became the drink of pleasure of the U.S. engineers. It was, Giacomo Pagliuchi, Liberation Army Captain, who named this drink after the pleasant beach, “Daiquiri”.
