“Kate Moss taken by the greatest photographers” is an exhibition in La Galerie de L’instant, Paris which redraws the story of the success of Kate Moss and a tribute to her so particular beauty. Indeed, nobody can deny that the British model is a real icon of her generation. Kate Moss is among the models the most photographed, but despite it, she managed to keep a great part of mystery. That’s probably why everyone graves under the spell of this wonderful woman.
When she was only 14, the future model had already been noticed by the photographer Bettina Rheims, who published a picture of her in her book, “Modern Lovers”. That’s how the incredible career of the beautiful Kate began. In the exhibition you will find of course the legendary pictures taken by Corinne Day, those which immediately make Kate become famous. There are also pictures by Paolo Roversi, Bert Stern, Peter Lindbergh and Ellen Von Unwerth during the 90s. These photographers turned Kate Moss into the feminine emblem of the decade. We can say that Kate Moss is really far from the top models coming from the previous era, such as Cindy Crawford or Claudia Shiffer, thanks to the great variety of her works with photographers. This is a fabulous occasion to observe the evolution of the beauty through the years, catwalks and scandals.
Despite the scandal in 2005 of her relationship with Pete Doherty and the denunciations of her high consumption of drugs and alcohol, the international press couldn’t forget her, and Kate came back after a rehab, healthier and still so beautiful.
Fascinating, sometimes provocating, often criticized because of her thinness, the top model who was sometimes called “the twig” by British people, is put in the honor through this amazing exhibition.
