Culture: Capture a moment that is gone forever

Iain Crawford grew up in Malaysia and Africa where he developed an enormous passion for photography. When Iain got older he moved to London to work as an account handler for Saatchi & Saatchi but the actual reason to move to London was to pursue his career in photography. After trying in London he moved to New York and spend several years there to develop his skills. Now he is back in London, and became on of the most innovative and prestigious international photographers in the world.

Crawford prefers to capture images that have a strong graphic and textural quality; he tries to find the graphical symmetry in chaos, without losing the personality and emotion of it.

His talent for photography has brought him to shoots campaigns for many top brands, for example some big names like; Lancome, Harpers Bazaar, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Vogue and many more.

In September this year Iain won the “Judges Choice award” in the prestigious AOP, better known as “The Association of Photographers” Awards 2012. At the AOP there is an exhibition to visit with all the winners and runners-up in the various categories. Crawford’s work is, of course, present in this exhibition.
