Carolina Herrera welcomes Dutch fashion lovers at her brand new flaghship store at the prestige P.C. Hooftstraat in Amsterdam. On this famous luxury shopping street, shoppers will also find other well-known designers like Paul Smith, Hèrmes, Louis Vuitton and Burberry. The CH Carolina Herrera store will count two floors filled with clothes and accessoires. Carolina started, together with her daugther, the CH Carolina Herrera line in the year 2008. The Amsterdam based store is the 21th flagship store of the CH Carolina Herrera brand.
Customers of this luxury and sophisticated brand are stars like Renée Zellweger, Nicole Kidman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Olivia Wilde, Salma Hayek and Brittany Murphy. Besides these A-listers the elegant and world famous Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, better known as Jackie O, was a big fan of Carolina Herrera’s mainline brand. The brand is also known for the famous wedding dress worn by “Bella Swan” in the popular movie The Twilight saga; Breaking dawn part 1.
But this isn’t the only news about the successful Carolina. She will be this years recipient of the Superstar Award at Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars event this October. With this award Carolina follows in the footsteps of designers such as, Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Oscar de la Renta and Valentino. Carolina was chosen as this years recipient because of her ‘singular focus‘ in business, and for remaining true to her design handwriting for more than 30 years. The annual event will take place in New York City. This is not the first time Carolina will receive an award for her designs. In 2004 she won the “Womenswear Designer of the Year” award and the “Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2008.
