The French shoe designer Christian Louboutin publishes a book with an overview of his career. Actor John Malkovich and director David Lynch collaborated on the book.
The book is completely in Louboutin-style. The cover is made of pink leather and the pages are gilded. A good friend of the designer, John Malkovich, wrote the foreword. David Lynch is responsible for part of the photography.
Louboutin’s own personal photographs showcase a tour of his worldwide boutique interiors, his homes in Paris and Egypt with pop-up pages bring the whole experience vividly to life.
The tome comprises of six chapters giving insights into Louboutin’s influences and best loved styles. The book also contains many highlights of Louboutins career, such as the Dita Cabaret shoes with diamonds and crystals. The designer made these for Dita Von Teese.
The book, entitled Christian Louboutin, published by Rizzoli in New York will cost 63 euros.
20 Years ago, Louboutin became well-known with his sexy shoes with iconic red soles. Actresses like Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Bosworth are big fans of the designer.
Earlier this month, Louboutin opened his first men’s shoe shop in Paris.
