The hunt for the new It-Shoe has started with a hyper-exclusive party in Milan to celebrate the collaboration between Alberto Guardiani and i-D Magazine.
The Cinderthriller party provided the occasion to present the eponymous contest dedicated to the search for the perfect shoe able to take over from the successful Lipstick Heel, the stiletto with a lipstick-shaped heel which bewitched fashionistas turning quickly into a cult object.
Open to all designers and lovers of female shoes, the contest started on September, 22nd and will continue until November, 11th – the deadline to submit the sketches, that will be examined and selected by a jury chaired by the Editor of i-D Magazine, Terry Jones and the daughter of the founder of the footwear brand, Rubina Guardiani. The name of the winner will be announced in February and his/her creation will become part of Alberto Guardiani’s F/W 2012/13 collection.
During the Cinderthriller party, guests had the chance to watch a screening of the first of a series of 5 videos shot by world-renowned photographers and video-makers under the creative direction of Terry Jones. At the party there was a cool atmosphere, the video and the music will have certainly be of inspiration to the young designers who attended the event, from Fleet Ilya to Matteo Cibic of 10 A Suspender Trousers Company.
