Fashion: Miami Swim Week 2011

World renowned swimwear designers are premiering their best collection for Miami Swim Week. The commencement of Miami Swim Week began with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim and Swim Show 2011, but this was just the beginning of the fashion-filled week.

On July 13th at 9:00 p.m., Miami Magazine hosted over 700 Miami fashion designers for its fourth annual Splashion. Inside Fontainbleau Miami Beach’s LIV Nightclub, DJ Irie set the mood with some beats while elegant models glided down the runway in swimwear by BECCA by Rebecca Virtue, Betsey Johnson and Masquenada. Jag’s dabber suit collection stunned the audience along with top-of-the-line designs from Jantzen and Perry Ellis Swim. A flash of the best accessories by Bestfriend’s Closet Boutique beautifully complemented Poupette St Barth’s bohemian-chic wear.

To better enjoy the show, cocktails and wine were available and samples of health and beauty products were supplied by Elemis Spa and Rik Rak Salonin Splashion’s Beauty Lounge. The first 400 people who arrived received a Gift Bag Ticket, granting them the most elegant fashion accessory and a beach tote full of a variety of items.

Next on the list of Miami Swim Week events is Salon Allure, the only luxury swim, fiber and resort tradeshow. With large ocean front studios and suites, Salon Allure will showcase well established swimsuit brands such as Diesel , Red Carter and Tori Praver  along with other leading designers such as Callula Lillibelle, Mikoh Swimwear and Mara Hoffman.
