Ninety-nine guys guarding Bikkembergs, in perfect formation, the door of the first Dirk Bikkembergs flagship store in Spain at number 99 Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona just before its official opening. These athletes ninety-nine hours before had traveled aboard a bus stop discovered in some of the most emblematic places of the city, with its impressive array surprising. They gave way to the opening event that was the culmination of a day full of activities to celebrate the arrival of signing for Barcelona.
The new store 600m2 welcomed more than 300 guests were greeted by a typical carpet grass soccer fields with which both identifies Dirk Bikkembergs. Among those in attendance, along with a large representation of the Barcelona scene, the players were Aitor Ocio and Adriano Correia of FCB, Saul Craviotto Olympic medalist, the dancer Rafael Amargo and his partner Silvia Calvet, actor Santi Millan and his wife Rosa Olucha, model and designers Clara Mas Rosa Clara, Nuria Sarda and Custo Dalmau. Maurizio Pizzuti, president of the company, hosted undisguised satisfaction with this new opening is the second Dirk Bikkembergs flagship store in the world after existing in Milan.
This new opening in the city is part of an ambitious international expansion of Dirk Bikkembergs, which currently has 30 single-brand stores worldwide and in the coming months will add 14 more in major cities like Guangzhou, Paris, Istanbul and Riyadh. Spanish is not a new market for the firm that has over 200 prestigious multibrand outlets spread throughout the Iberian Peninsula, and also boasts two brand shops in Andorra and Puerto Banus.
