True to reflect the land and history of Codorníu, Gran Reserva Gran Codorníu presents, in an elegant case of oak, three cellars which are the best expression of Chadonnay varieties, Pinot Noir and Xarel·lo. A limited edition will undoubtedly present a select for gourmets.
Pioneers in growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and after years of experiencing growing this grape has Great Codorníu Gran Reserva Pinot Noir 2007, Gran Gran Reserva Chardonnay 2007 Codorníu and Great Codorníu Xarel·lo Gran Reserva 2007, three small jewels monovarietales with 50 months of aging, which adds complexity and structure, but retain the freshness and fruit aromas characteristic of younger cavas. Each of the cellars is made west of the DO Cava different which gives them a unique personality. The Chardonnay grape comes from the area of Costers del Segre, the Chardonnay grape comes from the area of Costers del Segre, the Xarel·lo de l’Alt Penedès and Pinot Noir grapes are harvested in the Conca de Barbera.
