While a little known fact, the world’s second largest consumer of champagne is Nigeria, spending 30 million per year on the bubbly beverage. It is unsurprising, then, that the nation is currently producing the world’s most expensive champagne.
Their exclusive product is known as the Goût de Diamants, or rather, the “taste of diamonds”, and at price of $1.2 million per bottle, it is truly a luxurious treat. The champagne was created by the Nigerian designer Alexander Amosu, and is the brand’s most opulent product to date.
Each bottle of the champagne consists of the perfect blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and the Grand Cru Chardonnay. These elements come together to offer the palate an explosive floral, luxuriant, and creamy texture, with a light, beautiful finish.
Adorning each bottle is a Swarovski crystal badge, stylized to resemble the Superman logo. The badge is made of a stunning 18 carat white gold, with a sparkling 19 carat white diamond taking center stage within the logo piece.
Additionally, the chic badge is accompanied by vintage details, and pops against the austere black bottle. One could even have their name engraved upon the badge, for an added touch of exclusivity.
