In July 2010 opened Casa Bacardi, a permanent visitor center located at the Mercat Vell of the old town of Sitges. During these 12 months of existence, CASA BACARDI has received over 16,000 visitors, becoming a historical and cultural reference in Sitges. Throughout the history of the “American” in Sitges s and its link with the Bacardi family, you can see the process of BACARDI Superior Rum production and development of the Original BACARDI cocktails.
To celebrate the first anniversary of the center on Thursday, July 28 j live a space decorated open, where everyone can visit the center without an appointment. BACARDI House will be open Sitgesits open day as these times: 12 to 14 hours and 17 to 21 hours.

The center has received visitors both individuals and representatives of national media and international professionals and tourists have been able to find space through agreements with entities such as Catalonia Sitges tourist bus and Convention Bureau. BACARDI House Sitges also has had a presence at fairs such as FITUR, SITC and EIBTM, and entries have been drawn in different events and charities. It has also been the scene of events like the National Final Contest BACARDI Superior Rum Legacy Cocktail Cocktail Competition or the prize BACARDI Together Wall.
Casa Bacardi offers visitors aunique experience on the history and evolution of the Bacardi company, founded in Cuba in 1862. On one level, a first space called “Heritage” welcomes visitors and explains the ties between Bacardi and Sitges. This area pays special attention to Americans (Sitgetans who emigrated to Cuba and other parts of Latin America), and also explains the evolution of the history of the company since its founding in 1862 until today. In the second room will show visitors the different stages of development of BACARDI Superior Rum and were immersed in the universe of molasses, stills, drums and filtering processes. The third is the BACARDI salt Lounge Bar, where Visitors learn to Original BACARDI cocktails at the hands of professional bartenders.
The space also has aoutdoor terrace that works exclusively for the visitors center.
