The restaurant DOS CIELOS, located on the 24th floor of Hotel Me, hosts the work of Rosó Cusó under Arte & Cielo project.
It is at the beginning of each season gastronomic an artist showing a work on paper created specifically for the space. In parallel, the Torres brothers present their new seasonal menu, both artists and chefs, will work together in the creative process for the development of the works.
The marriage between the work of the brothers Torres and Cusó is as ephemeral collaboration, enriching and a knowledge sharing exercise on this occasion is celebrated as part of the winter menu, where diners can enjoy from the day 20 December to mid-March.
The explosion of creativity in the Torres brothers still surprises: from the project they created called Sensografía to the presentation of their dishes, which are themselves works of art. The Torres brothers understand gastronomy as a cultural phenomenon evolving: be partakers of this phenomenon excites them and gives them the opportunity to play and experiment with different technologies and materials.
The Arte & Cielo project has been designed by KOGNITIF request of the brothers Sergio and Javier Torres and has received the support of N2 Gallery.
“The fascinating thing about the thorns that grow spontaneously is his humility, his departure from the fiction of ornamental plants, fierce strength and perseverance in wanting to live. These virtues I produce such enthusiasm that often appear in my work brambles. Y that is why I like to present these pieces of paper in two heavens, where the brothers cook wonders Torres close to the earth: rosemary and flowers of the field; flavor of pine nuts as intense as those who started with two small stones and I ate in the forest, in the humility of pulses arriving with a thousand shades and textures, where meats are cooked slow and persistent heat … These papers large format (120 x 140 cm.), the realized in Capellades Paper Mill Museum, part of the series ‘L’esbarzer’ who persevere and are a continuation of previous work around the bushes: ‘The Voluntat of being’ (N2 Gallery, 2009) or ‘Pugna’. As for the material (cotton fiber paper) have continued to work with him and develop new techniques in ‘The tardor de l’Ar’t (Arts Santa Monica, Barcelona, 2011) or parts Batecs, currently displayed at the exhibition ‘Ariadne’s thread’ on the occasion of the inauguration of the House of the reader, in the slaughterhouse of Madrid, alongside artists such as Jaume Plensa”, the artist has referred Rosó Cusó about Arte & Cielo project.
