The pub is the main basis of the Japanese food culture. All dishes are being served on little plates and are just little delicacies. Guest can take as many dishes as they like, which is usual in the Asian “grazing menus”.
When Izakaya opens in November, Amsterdam can add an new hotspot to their list of culinary masterpieces. This restaurant claims to give a whole new dimension to the Asian Kitchen. Izakaya is located between Amsterdamse Pijp and Museumkwartier in the prestigious Sir. Albert Hotel.
Izakaya is an exceptional good concept, developed by the very creative and inspiring Food and Beverage entrepreneur Yossi Eliyahoo. Yossi Eliyahoo is well known in the International hospitality industry. Born in Israel, Yossi has been working in kitchens since he was 12 years old. The Picasso restaurant in Tel Aviv was his first “real job” in a professional setting. He started as a Bar Manager and worked his way up to General Manager. After that he thought he was wise enough to try running a business on his one. He opened the City Café in Tel Aviv and quickly some other restaurants followed.
After a good try out in Tel Aviv he moved to Nottingham and created the China Latino brand. After that everything kept on going uphill in just a blink of the eye. Hospitality concepts made by Eliyahoo popped up everywhere and he is still unstoppable.
Together with BK Architects Yossi created an exceptional design for the interior of Izakaya. Inspired by the Japanese elements; fire, earth, air, water and heaven, an authentic style was developed. A simple and spirited atmosphere which fits the needs of this cosmopolitan city.
