The Yeatman, a luxury hotel located in the heart of historic Oporto has received the award “Best of Award of Excellence 2012″ award from the prestigious American magazine specializing in wines Wine Spectator for its outstanding wine list.
Located in one of the wine capitals of Europe, the restaurant, The Yeatman is the only facility in northern Portugal that has received international recognition.
The award was granted following the strict criteria of Wine Spectator and taking into account the quality of the producers, the presentation, the variety of vintages, vertical tastings of fine wines and an excellent range of wines from major wine regions .
“Wine Spectator’s award recognizes the quality of the wine list of The Yeatman and the wines produced by vintners 67 members associated with this project. Continuing the tradition and success of the previous edition, The Yeatman will celebrate this year the “Christmas Wine Experience” on 1 and 2 December 2012. The protagonists of the most exclusive wine event of the year will be the 67 “wine partner” of The Yeatman, which include some of the biggest and most famous wine producers in Portugal. These specialists and producers personally present two of their best wines respectively, giving attendees a unique opportunity to taste and purchase a broad selection of fabulous Portuguese wines in a sophisticated and festive. In addition to wines, the shows will also feature select cheeses, cured hams, traditional chocolate and olive oil.
