La Perla Debuts its 2015 Swim Collection

La Perla launched its 2015 Swimwear collection, for the first time in the USA, to an ocean view at sunset on Sunday, July 20 th  at The Setai, Miami Beach. The fashion presentation was hosted by Suzy Biszantz (CEO of La Perla North America), Athina Marturet and Kristin Ducote.

Giovanni Bianchi (Creative Director of La Perla) attended the event, as well as actress Serinda Swan, singer Santiago Garza, singer Julien Rego and Leah Park (CEO and cofounder of Vaunte). Additional notables included Criselda Breene, Sylvia Goldenthal, Elisa  Gosselin,  Laura Buccellati, Faye Bochner, Alejandra Calbimonte, Daniela Calbimonte,  Jessica Anderson, Cleo Vo-Dai, Valerie Zuban Simon, Iran Issa-Khan, Alina Dyachenko (Le CITY deluxe), Tamara Medvedeva and Julia Medvedeva among others.

For nearly 60 years, the brand has followed the evolution of the female body through different fashions and trends becoming the lingerie and beachwear brand synonymous with “Made in Italy” luxury.

The collection is designed in mind for women with many different personalities and styles. This is portrayed through the current La Perla ad campaign featuring Malgosia Bela as the classic and glamorous beauty; Liu Wen, a global top model who brings along a refined flare and Cara Delevigne, who embodies a youthful spirit and edgy fashion sense.

Exclusive workmanships and innovative techniques, which are trademarks of the La Perla design, are present throughout the collection. The styles boast embroidery of leather paillettes to create a sequin metallic effect as well as a thermo weld process mimicking python and a soutache technique customarily used only in lingerie and now uniquely integrated into swimwear. LYCRA(r) and XTRA LIFE(tm) LYCRA(r) are incorporated to provide a lasting and flawless fit.

In December, the Bal Harbour boutique will undergo a renovation to reveal a new store concept designed by legendary architect, Roberto Baciocchi, who also is most recently known for designing Prada and Miu Miu boutiques.  This aligns perfectly with the brands global redesign and retail expansion plan.  La Perla boutiques are located at the heart of the most important fashion hubs of the world.
