Jimmy Woo Lounge is a luxury nightclub and in a short period of time it has become a real big topic. It’s all because of the vision of de club owner Casper Reinders, who is a rich world traveler. Jimmy Woo opened its doors in December 2003 near the Leidseplein in Amsterdam.
Jimmy Woo likes extravagance but also appreciates privacy. Both aspects are reflected in the design and bar layout. Gold leaf, black walls, Japanese lanterns and a real antique from 1860 opium bed makes it all look like a romantic scene from Once Upon a Time in America. But Jimmy Woo offers not only a beautiful piece of history, it’s also aware of the latest techniques including the best sound system that were designed in London and a fascinating ceiling with more than twelve thousand lamps.
For the atmosphere and interior Jimmy Woo was inspired by some famous artists. The visitor will immediately be taken by the beautiful murals created by Mark Holden and Henk Schiffmacher and sensual photos of the Japanese photographer Araki. The ingenious interior design, created by B.inc Interior Stuff, provides a glamorous background for the expertly trained cocktail shakers.
Of course Jimmy Woo is also about the music. Specially designed by Funktion One and imported from London, Jimmy Woo offers the best sound that the world can provide. On top of that, it’s possible to hire various DJs, VJs, MCs, dancers, jazz singers, etc. for every event. The music setup consists of an eclectic mix of urban music.
