After a whirlwind change 24 hours prior, ‘A Splash of Style’ successfully took place at the unique LMNT after complications with the previous venue. Creating its own niche within this luxurious event space, where all the elements of art are combined under one roof catering to encompass, production, recording studio, bar and more, LMNT was the perfect venue for a diverse production on the opening night of Swimwear Week, which was all in support of Miami’s eco-pioneer ECOMB.
With much appreciation for dedication and support from presenting sponsor Warren Henry Auto Group, supporting sponsor ePuffer and partnering charity ECOMB, the quick down-pour of rain didn’t dampen the mood as guests flocked to the red carpet. The energy and atmosphere was pumping when the models from K2 Models and Miami Model Citizens took to the podium. With hair styled by Contesta Rock Hair and make up by MIAimee Make up, the models looked fierce as living mannequins in the show. Toronto’s VENAO Swimwear wowed the crowd with their feminine and cutting-edge styles as they made their debut into the US market. VIGGO of Las Vegas revealed their much-anticipated swimwear line to coincide with their artistic fusion of wearable fashion. Royalz Clothing who is making waves in the fashion industry, showcased their street-wear jackets and bags, while local Miami newcomer Status Plus rounded off the event with their swimwear and accessories collection inspired by old and new styles. Unfortunately Miami celebrity designer LeiMarco was unable to participate.
The evening’s entertainment accompanying the high-end fashion, included Canada’s top female DJ, Fizza, and local Miami favorite DJ Danny Stern (SLS Hotel, Delano) who shared the decks and kept the vibe just right. Live entertainment was supplied by Randy Singer, and talented violinist JC had the crowd dancing. Guests indulged on delicious desserts crafted by Iced So Nice and savory drinks graciously supplied by Deep Eddy Vodka, Gnebrita, QDrinks and Riscal. Capturing all the action on the red carpet (hosted by Canada’s Mandy Ross), and in the venue, was local videography maven, Bonovision. Joining them was the amazing team at The Beach Channel, who interviewed the designers, artists, sponsors, and the event producers throughout the evening.
Local and international media partners helped spread the word resulting in a collective media impression campaign of 24.6million worldwide. Two days prior, the Designer Meet & Greet saw the performance of Splitsartist Erin Barylski and exhibition by renowned international artists Raptuz & Poesia. Notable outlets who we cannot thank enough, include: The Beach Channel for capturing the 2-day event, Le CITY deluxe, WHERE Magazine, RUNWAY Magazine, Negocios Magazine, Disfunkshion Magazine and REMARK Magazine.
In light of the success of ‘A Splash of Style’ in Miami, event producer Madflower Creative Group will be teaming up with a multicultural pageant event for the New York edition, to be held at the grand United Palace Theatre on September 13th. Additionally, a televised search for a new Editor-In-Chief of International RUNWAY Magazine will take this opportunity to put participants through their paces, show what is involved working on a global publication and see who will win the much-coveted title. Information on how to take part will be released soon.
