Mangusta’s 7th edition to its 165 series was launched over last year’s summer to the delight of many yacht enthusiasts, as well as taking center stage at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
The Mangusta 165 is said to be the fastest composite Maxi Open super yacht built to date, and its measurements come in at 50 meters across the length stretching from bow to stern. Stefano Righini, the esteemed designer from the Italian shipyard Overmarine Group, designed this impressive ship.
Stylistically, the yacht has a smart, sophisticated exterior appeal, with the interior providing a world of elegance and comfort. Within the yacht there are four stunning suites, one double and twin cabin, a VIP suite located in the bow, an extra Pullman berth, and lastly, a gorgeous full beam master suite in the lower deck.
Walking into the Mangusta 165’s aft deck, you will find the open, airy interiors of the ship’s lounge, complete with brown wicker sofas and a cozy armchair. Continuing to the deck area, the mood is quite serene with a spectacular Jacuzzi and sunpads. The space is largely devoted to the immense swimming platform, and is the ideal location to soak up the sun and relax in the water.
At the ship’s rear, you will find a fabulous entertainment space in the U-shaped cockpit, equipped with a huge, but discreet flatscreen TV and a slew of sunpads and bimini shades. Inside the yacht you will find the main saloon, with its clean aesthetic, furnished with a blend of beached team and dark brown leather throughout.
Creating an open layout, there are no walls dividing the main saloon and the wheelhouse, but rather a bar area. The bar consists of a card table, a formal dining area, a Zimbabwean black marble front with a large flatscreen, and central area.
Within the lounge lies a substantial L-shaped sofa upholstered in an arresting ivory, paired with a set of luxurious dark leather armchairs. Then to the dining room, the room is completed by an impressive table, surrounded by modern leather chairs with enough seating for 10.
Further in one finds the main saloon, yielding spectacular panoramic views of the water and filled with warm natural light. Attached is a quirky staircase that takes you to the deck below, where all of the suites can be found.
Stepping into each cabin, you will find them all equipped with an en suite that includes a cozy shower area done up in beige marble. In the master suite, there is a private study and lobby with en suites for his and hers. These en suites have a spacious shower area, fitted with antique bronze marble. In addition, the yacht has both a fully equipped gym, accessible from both the lower deck corridor and the lobby, as well as walk in wardrobes.
As for the most impressive feature, however, the owners believe it to be the splendid entertainment room, with its massive flatscreen, high tech features, and warm, inviting layout. Moving above towards the upper deck, the flybridge opens up into the beautiful dining space, with its shade, sunbathing space, barbecue, and secondary warehouse adding a lavish touch.
There is even a stern garage full of water toys, such as skis and diving equipment, or if that’s not enough, you can open up the inflatable slide and drop into the refreshing seawater below!
