Apparel & Accessories: A live streaming ramp for Burberry

Continuing its tech-savvy approach intended to cater to a worldwide audience, Burberry gave viewers a ringside view of its Prorsum Summer Spring ’13 show in Milan through video, imagery and music on Burberry.com live from the show space, as well as through the Burberry Facebook and Twitter pages and on global partner sites online. Enthusiasts were able to watch the full show on demand at Burberry.com and Facebook across multiple mobile devices.

The show itself was a glitzy affair with a mix of celebrities and the fashion fraternity in the Italian capital. Guests at the show included British musicians Roo Panes, George Craig and Rob Pryor and British actress Michelle Dockery as well as Nicolas Vaporidis, Giorgia Surina, Elyas M’Barek, Eros Galbiati and Alex Uhlmann. Sizzling on the ramp were Burberry ad campaign models Seb Brice, Johnny George and Charlie France.

The collection featured Burberry’s trademark expansiveness and featured trench coats, tuxedos, bombers, car coats, field jackets, parkas, cabans and five-pocket jeans in a variety of fabrics including cotton canvas, metallic knits, leathers and silks, silk satins and summer tweeds among others.

To ensure that viewership can translate into sales for the brand, Burberry has offered consumers across the world to order from the collection through the brand’s ‘Runway to Reality’ initiative. Outerwear and accessories from the collection are all available to purchase exclusively on Burberry.com for 1 week until Sunday 1July 2012 – for delivery in just 8 weeks.

Customers are also able to exclusively purchase the collection at over 30 Burberry Retail Theatre events and appointments globally.
