Apparel & Accessories: Happy Feet!

The iconic Swiss luxury brand Bally has released a stylish new Scribe shoe design as part of their Spring Summer 2012 Collection. Bally’s heritage lies in making high quality leather shoes, particularly in men’s categories: Bally’s founder Carl Franz Bally, initially focused only on making men’s shoes for a few decades after the company first opened in 1851. It was only by the end of the 19th century that Bally started production of other leather accessories and ready-to-wear apparel.

The design named ‘Scribe Legérè,’ is the latest shoe line to be added in Bally’s iconic range of Scribe made-to-order shoes.  The Scribe was introduced in the year 1951, and was created by Max Bally, grandson of Carl Franz Bally. It is this legendary design that catapulted Bally to international acclaim. Max Bally named the shoe after Hotel Scribe in Paris, where he stayed during his visit in 1951.

The ‘Scribe Legérè,’ is hand-crafted from the highest quality hand-painted leathers and features an exclusive Goodyear constructed micro-rubber sole (which makes the shoe extremely lightweight). The Scribe Legérè is now available in Bally stores worldwide and online.
