Apparel & Accessories: Swiss Bliss

With the wellness industry taking a firm grasp of the Indian market, it comes as no surprise when designers too, decide to step in for a waltz. That’s exactly what happened when Charu Parashar unveiled her exclusive spa line for the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, one of the world’s finest resorts.

Several socialites, such as the effervescent Tanisha Mohan, and others including Sonu Wassan, Kusum Sawhney, and Neena Verma were spotted admiring the collection that was launched by the Swiss Ambassador to India, H.E. Linus von Castelmur at the Embassy of Switzerland, and borrows from the natural beauty as well as the calm and peace of Heidiland (which takes its name from Johanna Spyri’s famous novel Heidi), in eastern Switzerland. While the mountains, and flora and fauna of Bad Ragaz are captured in Parashar’s line that combines cotton-based silks, chiffons, and crepes, the print appliqué has been designed keeping in mind the 36.5º temperature thermal springwater at the Grand Resort that is known for its healing powers since the 16th century.

The sprawling Swiss resort is famed for its facilities: 10 indoor and outdoor pools, three sauna and steam bath zones complement the plethora of medical and holistic treatments that are on offer across the 12,800 square metre property, in addition to 30 types of massage techniques and nine beauty cabin areas that boast of such luxurious brands as La Prairie, Kanebo, Carita Paris, and Niance.
