This year saw The Park, New Delhi host its seventh ‘Park New Festival’ with a plethora of artists and acts from around the world. Celebrating contemporary art forms and performances, the Festival kicked off on the 13th of September, and lasted for two days entertaining patrons of song, dance, art and literature.
The artists of The Kha Foundation enraptured guests with their dance piece that depicted the rapid, albeit chaotic urbanization of India appropriately christened NH7. A Moment of Mishearing, a concert stuffed with fusions of Indian music with blues, jazz, and Western pop classics proved a real crowd-pleaser, as did other visual performances, such as AadhaaraChakra – a contemporary dance show that wove within it several elements of light and film, and Osama, Cinema and a Whole lot of Black Money – a 60-minute performance by Stray Factory that came to life in the form of experiences and lives of politicians, actors, villages and other unusual potrayals of every day circumstances.
