Celebrity tarot reader Poonam Sethi hosted a Christmas brunch at Silk, in Safdarjung, New Delhi for some of her friends, over sushi and wine. Sudhakar Bhatnagar, owner of the Oriental-themed Silk, beamed as guests Vandy Mehra, Ala Madhu, designers Poonam Bajaj and Samant Chauhan, entrepreneur Anubhav Swami, and Zalmai Wafamal, political counsellor, Embassy of Afghanistan, were spotted chatting, wine glass in hand, in the wintry sun.
“The lunch marks the single digit countdown for the new year, and I wanted to celebrate the year gone by as well as the year ahead – the failures and hurdles of last year have brought wisdom, the successes have brought joy – so either which way, it’s always a good reason to celebrate the confluence of two year,” remarked Poonam Sethi. Zalmai Wafamal from the Embassy of Afghanistan said:“Poonam is a wonderful woman, and her hospitality reflects the same charm – this is a good way to let the festivities roll.”
