Khushii, an NGO which works for the upliftment of the poor in India, recently unveiled its most prestigious fund raising auction India on Canvas, 2012 at The Clarion Collection Hotel, New Delhi. A unique art collaboration between contemporary masters who share their canvas space with leading Indian social, political and industry stalwarts, the art show featured forty works that jointly carried the signature of both the artist and the celebrity.
Funds raised from this endeavour will go towards funding Shikshantara and other charity endeavours of Khushii. Art works auctioned were created by 40 artists in collaboration with eminent personalities, who worked together for the last one month.
This year, prominent names from art fraternity like Sanjay Bhattacharya, Anjolie Ela Menon, Bose Krishnamachari, Yusuf Arakkal, Seema Kohli, Paresh Maity, Kanchan Chander, Jatin Das, George Martin, Binoy Verghese, Baiju Parthan, Ram Kumar, Rohit Chawla collaborated with eminent personalities like Rajiv Luthra, Rahul Bose, Robert Vadra, Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor, Suhel Seth, Narain Karthikeyan, Arjun Baljee, Sindoori Reddy etc to make art works which were auctioned.
