Events: Racy Weekend

Hollywood aces, racing car mavens and the Monégasque royal family joined luxury Swiss watchmaker for a weekend celebrating the masters of speed at the 71st edition of the Monaco Grand Prix. Tag Heuer partnered with the Automobile Club of Monaco for a weekend full of festivities, and brought in its special brand ambassadors, Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz, who attended the weekend-long glam race with Monaco’s Sovereign, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.

The celebration started with the actors onboard the brand’s yacht in Port Hercules for a cocktail party. Among the attendees were four-time French Formula One champion Alain Prost and his compatriot, World Rally Championship leader Sébastien Ogier.

The party continued with Diaz and DiCaprio cheering for 2009 Formula One winner, Englishman Jenson Button and McLaren racer, Mexican Sergio Perez, who were special guests at Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’s pit lane.

Cameron Diaz was seen sporting the new edition of Tag Heuer’s iconic Monaco ACM that was made famous by Steve McQueen’s character in the 1971 Hollywood cult film Le Mans (1971), while DiCaprio preferred to flaunt his shock-proof Monaco 24.
