It’s a curious name for a maker of fine writing instruments but according to Cruiser Pens’, their name (which literally means a battleship), epitomizes speed, precision and technology. The one- year- old brand (launched by Linc pens), which is also the first Indian luxury pen manufacturer, recently launched a new collection of three limited-edition writing instruments called the Inspiration Collection.
Unambiguously named Cruiser Grapes, Cruiser Mother-of-Pearl and Cruiser Diamond, these pens feature detailed handcrafted work in precious metals by designers from Germany, Korea and Taiwan. While the first two, Cruiser Grapes (Rs. 38,000) and Cruiser Mother-of-Pearl (Rs. 42,500) have impressively crafted Sterling Silver overlay in the form of grapes and are covered in the shimmering whiteness of mother-of-pearl with a rhodium plated nib respectively, Cruiser Diamond (Rs. 57,000), takes the cake for being the most blingy. This fountain pen has a pure black resin body with intricate silver overlay and a rhodium nib along with 8 diamonds studded in the silver work.
