Gourmet & Nightlife: Delhi's most happening music club

Once upon a time, a phyrgian satyr, Marsyas challenged the great Greek God of music and poetry, Apollo to a musical contest in his love for a newly found instrument. Though Marsyas lost and died as punishment when demanded to play his flute upside down, the spirit of wilderness left all of us a little more wiser- no one challenges the expert.

Fast forward to the 21st century: When we say experts in music, what comes to mind is India’s first revolutionary integrated music project, Blue Frog. Combining cutting-edge sound, design and technology, the original music club is bringing together music lovers in Delhi at the Kila at the Qutub.
Delhi’s own Blue Frog opened to a cheering audience on 22nd December at the 7,000 square feet space which blends acoustic excellence, opulent ambience with live performances, innovative cuisine and an excellent bar.

The space has been reworked to state-of-the-art standards, while maintaining the integrity and heritage of the original structure. Founded by film maker Mahesh Mathai, film producer Srila Chatterjee, ex-banker Simran Mulchandani, musicians Ashu Phatak and Dhruv Ghanekar, Blue Frog promises live music runs six nights a week with international artists featuring regularly. Genres of music will range from jazz, blues, funk, soul and afro/latin to electronic, club, rock, folk and lots more.

The first Blue Frog outside of Mumbai, Delhi’s club will focus on independent music acts and will also feature musical theatre, stand-up comedy, poetry and film nights.
