Culture: BMW M3 Coupé frozen silver edition

The limited edition BMW M3 Coupé Frozen Silver Edition model has been announced as part of the line-up of BMW 40th anniversary specials.

The M3 Coupé Frozen Silver Edition sports BMW’s muscular 420hp V8 engine, the brand’s standard seven-speed M DCT transmission and variable M differential. Other performance-enhancing features include a 10mm lowered suspension featuring a three-stage Electronic Damper Control, 19-inch light alloy wheels and a revised DSC+ system.

While the tech specs are certainly par for the course, it is the combination of Frozen Silver metallic paint, not seen before on any BMW, matte black alloy wheels, Dark Chrome exhaust, side gills and kidney surrounds, and Jet Black bonnet intakes that set the car apart. A high-sheen Shadowline exterior trim enhances the sleek contours of the exterior.

The full-on BMW experience continues in the interior, with plush Black Novillo leather with contrast stitching and palladium leather armrests and inserts. The steering wheel is sheathed in Alcantara and comes complete with an M3 chequered flag motif, while the door sills feature a similar logo. Carbon fiber accents on the interior, the M Power-stitched handbrake and embossed plaque completes the polished interior.

The new BMW M3 Coupé Frozen Silver Edition will be released in the UK on June 1, 2012. Just hundred specimens will be produced, making this a very special collectible indeed.
