Too much of a good thing is impossible in the world of luxury. The Ritz-Carlton has dreamed up a sublime weekend experience on Central Park South with an all-caviar package to showcase the versatility of the decadent roe. It may be the most indulgent way possible to transition into spring in New York. Things get off to a promising start in the wood-paneled bar, where guests will settle in with a caviar martini. Its glass rimmed with roe and garnished with pressed caviar cubes; the new cocktail is a reminder that vodka and caviar are a flavor marriage fit for a czar. A caviar tasting flight from Petrossian comes next, of course, but merely eating and drinking the good stuff is not nearly enough for this package. A massage for two at the hotel’s La Prairie Spa offers the rare opportunity to rub caviar all over your body. The 60-minute Caviar Skin Crème Massage uses hydrating seaweed, algae, and caviar extracts. (Guests who prefer privacy can request to have the massage in-room—and take full advantage of the extravagant Central Park views.) The stay ends with one more dollop of excess, a three-course meal at the Petrossian restaurant, featuring a cured-salmon sampling, foie gras, steak or crab cakes, and, yes, perhaps a little more caviar. The one-night, two-day package allows late check-out, so you can sleep it all off, have breakfast downstairs (included), and enjoy a leisurely stroll in the park before heading back to reality.
