Actually “hotel” isn’t the right word for this beautiful loft in the centre of Amsterdam. It not only provides a special place to stay, it also houses a designstore named Droog, an exclusive lunchroom, the designerfashionstore ‘Kabinet’ and a recently opened cosmeticastore Cosmania. Cosmania was, before the opening at Droog Amsterdam, only available as a webshop and therefore a very special addition to the Droog concept.
Most hotels are focussed on having guest to spend the night, but this hotel is different from all the others. Hotel Droog has an inside out concept, that means it’s all about designshopping instead of sleeping, but if you want you can also spend the night in one of their beautiful lofts, that are housed above the designstores.
The central situated indoor garden forms the link between all the different areas. Through the Cafe, where you can try the design dinner set, you can walk to the fashionstore Kabinet from Ferry van de Nat. This store is full of brands like Francisco van Benthum en Maison Martin Margiela. After the visitor is finished in the Kabinet, he can just cross over to Cosmania, the beauty department of Hotel Droog.
An absolut unique and refreshing concept in the Netherlands, where there is enough for everybodies taste.
