Events: Who will replace John Galliano as the head of Dior fashion house?

Will John Gagliano replace Marc Jacobs?

There have been some leaking rumours about the replacement of John Galliano. The most likely candidates were Riccardo Tisci and Azzedine Alaia who both officially abandoned the offered job. So there is a new leader in our race: Marc Jacobs.

According to the British fashion press, Marc Jacobs, who now heads the Louis Vuitton, is highly interested in talks with LVMH company. As usual, the rumours were started by some insiders, who requested anonymity so that the reliability of the information should be questioned. However, if their words are to be believed, Jacobs is likely to accept the offer, but on his terms.

The designer would like to combine work at Dior and Louis Vuitton, especially taking account of the fact that both are owned by LVMH. Nevertheless, the owners of LVMH insist that Jacobs concentrates solely on bringing back the reputation, which Dior once had and which was once destroyed by the scandal around John Galliano. Let’s see how it goes and whether or not the two sides can negotiate.
