BMW Italia and the italian fashion house Trussardi, well-known for its exclusive leather has unveiled a limited edtion of the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo to mark the fashion house’s centennial anniversary this year.
„Elegant, understated, and at the same time sensual and attractive, the BMW 5 Series Trussardi was inspired by the world of leather and gloves, which characterized the origins of the brand. For the new BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo, built in a limited edition and designed by the Trussardi style office,the emphasis was on new exterior details and new and luxurious interior finishings. For the exterior look, the choice fell on an exclusive color – a characteristic warm metallic brown that has been named Heraldic Brown. The special BMW 5 Series GT Trussardi is based on the 530d xDrive model and has been refined with a range of styling updates. According to the company, the limited edition 5 Series is inspired by the world of leather and gloves. The car was painted in the Heraldic Brown color, with matt dark gray accents on the strip surrounding the front air intake and other trim parts. Double-spoke 20 inch wheels and tires sizing 245/40 and 275/35 are outfitted to the car and the fashion brand’s logo are attached to the front fenders. Additional exterior features include double kidney grilles, window line decorations in the same color as the body, 20-inch alloy wheels in dark matte grey and Trussardi’s coat of arms on the front fenders.“
For the interior Trussardi chose a classy Beige leather treatment, with contrasting stitching. Their iconic logo is placed on the headrests, the center tunnel and various spots around the cabin.
The BMW 5 Series Tran Turismo Trussardi blends the technology, the innovation, and the research for which the German automaker is famous with the elegance, the style, and the exclusivity of the Italian fashion house.
Several different options in engines will be offered with the project, including two petrol and two diesel engines, all of which can be equipped with BMW’s all-wheel drive system. The special order Trussardi version of the BMW 5 Series GT can be ordered in the engine ranges 535d, 535i and 550i from BMW Italy.
