Hayon was born in 1974 in Madrid and always had a deep interest in creating. By several art expert Jaime is one of the 100 most relevant creators nowadays and also one of the most influential creators of the last decade. He is an extraordinary artist with a very unique style; he is always searching to find challenges and new perspectives. His vision is a combination between art, decoration and contemporary design. For Jaime nothing is impossible he creates furniture as well as interiors, sculptures, art installations and everything else that comes on his path.
His breathtaking designs are exposed all over the world and got him many prestigious awards like; Elle Deco International award, Elle Best International Designer, AD Russia Designer of the Year, Maison Objet Designer of the Year and many more. Besides al those awards Jaime was guest of honor at the Interieur Biennial in Belgium, were he was the youngest designer ever to receive the accolade.
The pieces Jaime designed for BD Barcelona Design, the most prestigious design company in Barcelona, are hand painted one-of-a-kind vases. This limited edition is all about black and white; all the vases are identified with a numbering system of black strokes.
For Jaime it’s a big honor to develop this collection, not only because BD Barcelona design is the Spanish company with the highest international prestige in design, but primarily because they have worked with many great names like; Juan Gris and Salvador Dali.
