Majestic Hotel & Spa, one of the greatest hotel landmarks in Barcelona is immersed in the latest phase of a renewal process that began in June 2010. The luxury hotel, which occupies a neoclassical building on Paseo de Gracia, has seen how their rooms, hallways, common areas and facilities have been modernized and beautified thanks to Denarius Design and Architecture team, finishing their works in the building next summer.
The reforms, for which planned a total investment of 24 million euros, are supervised by the renowned designer Antonio Obrador, who have undertaken a multidisciplinary work that has been involved in all phases. The phases in the redevelopment of Majestic Hotel & Spa ranging from architecture, to interior design, decorating, and aslo landscape painting.
Respect for the classic architecture of the building has been one of the starting points of Antonio Obrador in developing the concept of reforming the hotel. Mixing with other elements of the past have marked his latest work, getting an eclectic and timeless product.
The new rooms, which were renovated in two phases, first the building located in the Valencia Street and later, the one located in Paseo de Gracia, are now ready to welcome guests. The rooms are bright, with high ceilings, elegant and romantic balconies that are decorated in shades of brown, white and beige, with a delicate furniture in classic style combined with modern elements.
The fabrics that line the walls are of a high quality as linen or cotton, and the trevira, used for vertical panels, which come from prestigious firms as Güell-Lamadrid, Gancedo, Gaston y Daniela or Ralph Lauren.
Bathrooms are different shades of white and gray marble, to create a bright and quality. This same material is used in floor and wall tiles in corridors and elevators (currently under renovation) to give unity sensation.
The unique design of the carpet wool used for walkways is a hallmark of Majestic Hotel & Spa, which wanted to keep the reform.
The remaining areas of the hotel preserved all the personality that have always characterized the building, as the lobby or the Majestic Bar, a famous meeting point in Barcelona.
