JEAN-MARC PONTROUÉ

CEO of ROGER DUBUIS

Vol 1 Spring 2013

Roger Dubuis, at the forefront of contemporary Haute Horlogerie since 1995, boasts a product bearing the expertise of the finest watchmaking mechanisms combined with powerful and daring designs. With a quest for excellence, the exquisite timepieces manufactured by Roger Dubuis, the only timepieces in the world to have all of its precious timepieces embossed with the Poinçon de Genève – a guarantee of the finest craftsmanship, are distributed worldwide through an exclusive sales network. Jean-Marc Pontroué, the brand’s chief executive since 2011, joined Roger Dubuis after 11 years at Montblanc in Hamburg where he was Executive Vice President of Product Strategy and Development. Prior to that, he was director of Givenchy in Paris. Today, after a revamping by Pontroué, the brand employs 250 people, including 160 watchmakers. Producing more than 4,000 timepieces annually, Roger Dubuis boasts that it is the only manufacturer that has its entire production certified with the Geneva seal. The brand has downsized to just four collections – Excalibur, Monegasque, Pulsion and Velvet – with prices ranging from $17,500 to $1,090,000.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Jean-Marc Pontroué was quoted as saying, “Roger Dubuis has a new face, and sales are increasing. We are in the beginning of a phase of accelerated growth.”
